Binance’s mining pool platform introduced it’s now distributing rewards denominated in a memecoin created by Dogecoin (DOGE) creator Billy Markus.
Binance Pool says it has now launched Bellscoin (BEL) merged mining.
The mining platform’s customers can now mine Litecoin and earn rewards in LTC, BEL or DOGE.
Markus created the Animal Crossing-inspired Bellscoin in 2013, eight days earlier than Dogecoin launched, in line with the undertaking’s website. It was revived in 2023.
Explains the Bellscoin web site,
“Bells coin has no affiliation with ‘Animal Crossing’ of Nintendo. This coin is just paying homage to a meme all of us love and acknowledge. Bells is a meme coin with no intrinsic worth or expectation of economic return. There isn’t a formal staff or roadmap. The coin is totally ineffective and for leisure functions solely.”
